About This Game
Princess Peach: Showtime! NSP ROM is an action adventure game for Nintendo Switch in which Princess Peach fights to save the Sparkling Theater. Through her various transformations, Peach interacts with the environment in creative and fun ways. For example, she uses two cardboard bushes to hide herself in the tall grass, uses a real swing to decorate a giant cake below, uses a piece of bamboo in her mouth to breathe underwater during an ingenious stealth sequence, and performs beautiful figure skating moves on the ice.
While Princess Peach: Showtime! is a great addition to the Nintendo Switch library, it clearly appeals to a wide audience and may not be for everyone.
Peach Costumes and Special Abilities
In one level, I transformed into Pastry Chef Peach, a baker who bakes cookies and decorates cakes with a piping bag through timed mini-games. Surprisingly, this experience was more challenging than playing as a ninja. While suspended above a large cake, I had to recreate the frosting decorations while following the instructions of some friendly pastry chefs. Showtime offers many new ways to enhance Peach’s abilities and gameplay experience.
Peach can transform into a variety of modes: cowgirl, swordswoman, skater, kung fu master, and more. Nintendo also recently released Mermaid Peach, Mighty Peach, and Brave Thief Peach. Controlling these transformations is pretty easy: players basically use two buttons: jump and ability. As Cowgirl Peach, she could throw a lasso to catch enemies from the Acid Gang and pick up barrels to throw at them.
